What this site collects

If you accept analytics, this site uses Google Analytics to measure visits and traffic sources. Following a product link also creates the record described under Outbound clicks below.

DealDino is a set of static pages with no accounts, forms or comments. There is no server-side code processing your visit to these pages; the redirect described below is the exception.

Analytics and your choice

Google Analytics loads only after you select Accept analytics. If you reject analytics or make no choice, this site does not load the Google tag or send analytics data to Google. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization remain disabled.

When accepted, Google Analytics receives information about the pages you visit, interactions, referring sites and campaign parameters, and your browser and device. Google also receives network information such as your IP address when your browser connects to its service. We use the reports to understand traffic, including visits from organic search and paid campaigns.

A first-party cookie called analytics_choice remembers acceptance or rejection for 180 days. Analytics cookies are also configured to expire after 180 days. You can change your choice using Analytics settings at the bottom of any page. Rejecting after acceptance removes this site's analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded tag. Your browser can also delete cookies.

Google processes analytics data under its privacy policy. Rejecting analytics stops future collection by this site; it does not erase data already collected.

What your browser still does

  • Product images are loaded directly from the retailer's image servers, so the retailer receives the request for those images, including your IP address and user agent, in the same way as any other hotlinked image.
  • Whoever hosts these pages records ordinary web server logs, which typically include IP addresses and are kept for a short period for security and diagnostics.
  • Following a link to a retailer hands you over to that retailer's own site and its own privacy policy, which this one does not cover.

Outbound clicks

Product links leave this site through click.getdealdino.com, a redirect run by the same operator. For each click it records the time, the product, the page the link was on and which part of that page it sat in, the country the request came from, the browser's user agent string, the referring page, and a one-way hash of the IP address, which cannot be turned back into the address.

This is used to count clicks, detect automated traffic and reconcile advertising costs. The redirect sets no cookies. The record is stored with a hosting provider on the operator's behalf and is not sold or passed to anyone else.

Your rights

You can reject analytics at any time using Analytics settings. The click record holds the hashed address and browser string described above, and no name, account or email. For questions or requests about data collected through this site, email the address below.
